The partners of Elvinger Hoss Prussen are delighted to announce that Joachim Cour, Thierry Kauffman and Michel Nickels have been promoted to Partner as of 1st January 2018.
Joachim Cour advises clients on a wide range of fund and regulatory matters. He assists asset managers in relation to the structuring of their Luxembourg investment vehicles across a wide range of asset classes (private equity, real estate, debt, infrastructure, hedge). He also has expertise in fund listing as well as in the marketing of funds and financial services.
He holds a Master’s degree in law from the University of Pau and a Master’s degree in political science from the University of Montpellier. He joined Elvinger Hoss Prussen in 2008 and is a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2010.
Thierry Kauffman’s principal fields of activity are corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, finance and structured finance.
He holds a Maîtrise en droit from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and a Master’s degree in international private and business law from the Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas.
Thierry is the Vice-President of the Comité de la Conférence du Jeune Barreau de Luxembourg. He joined Elvinger Hoss Prussen in 2008 and is a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2009.
Michel Nickels’s practice concentrates on commercial and civil litigation. In addition to litigation, Michel advises on real estate, construction and insolvency law.
He holds a Maîtrise in private law and a Master’s degree in banking and financial law from the Université Robert Schuman in Strasbourg. Michel joined Elvinger Hoss Prussen in 2008 and is a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2009. He is also a member of the Union Internationale des Avocats.
