One of our members, Luxembourg independent law firm DSM Avocats à la Cour has announced the arrival of three new hires: Mélanie Schmitt, Guillaume Grotz and Maxime Cuche.
Mélanie Schmitt joined the firm as Avocat à la Cour on 1 October 2020. Aged 27, she strengthens the Real Estate and Construction, Dispute Resolution, Commercial and Business Law as well as the Banking and Financial Law departments. Ms. Schmitt began her career with WESTLEGAL Avocats. She holds a Master 2 in cross-border business law from the University of Lorraine, a Master 1 and an LL.M. in private law from Trier University as well as a double bachelor’s degree in French and German Law from Saarland University’s Franco-German legal centre. She has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2017 and became Avocat à la Cour on 6 October 2020.
Mélanie Schmitt, who speaks English, French, German, Italian and Luxembourgish, stated: “I am delighted to join DSM Avocats à la Cour, an independent law firm known for its excellence, close ties, reactivity and international networks. 24-year-old Guillaume Grotz joined DSM Avocats à la Cour as administrative assistant and receptionist in August 2020. He holds a Master MEEF in English from the University of Lorraine and speaks English and French.
Maxime Cuche, aged 25, joined DSM Avocats à la Cour on 1 October 2020 as Marketing Officer, after having done some freelance work for the firm. Mr Cuche holds a Master 2 from the SKEMA Business School’s Grande Ecole Programme, a Higher National Diploma in Business and Administration Management from the University of Haute-Alsace and studied abroad at the Cracow University of Economics in Poland and at North Carolina State University in the USA.
